On behalf of the sworn and professional staff of the University Police Department, welcome to West Virginia University Institute of Technology. We strive to provide the highest quality of service to our students and campus community. At UPD, we remain committed to building and cultivating public trust while building relationships. UPD will continue to implement effective policing practices to protect and serve all, while maintaining a safe environment for our campus community.

We believe in upholding a high level of professionalism with an emphasis on community-based policing by working collaboratively with our community to improve engagement and relationships while building trust.
